Basics: If you need your staff to receive basic information on CASAS, call Cindy.
TOPSpro: Information on how to fill out CASAS' TOPSpro entry, update and test records according to the Iowa TOPSpro Data Dictionary; one-on-one training for TOPSpro record specialists.
NRS: National Reporting System information about federal guidelines including filling out federal tables, end of year reporting and bi-annual training for ABE coordinators.
POWER: Providing Options for the Workplace, Education and Rehabilitation. POWER is a performance-based assessment and training system for adults who have developmental disabilities.
ESL: English as a Second Language includes assessment and methods of instruction. Larisa is Iowa's ESL trainer.
Writing Skills: 18 teachers have had instruction in CASAS Functional Writing and have been certified as Stage 2 trainers. Cindy and Margie have been certified as Stage 3 trainers and are responsible for future writing skills instruction.

Business & Industry: Call Cindy or Lynn for ideas on how to connect with business and industry, set up training for your staff, or how to use assessment in the workplace.
Distance Learning: On-line staff development will be designed in the areas of orientation to ABE, adult learning and methods.
Family Literacy: Darla is the state's family literacy contact. The Family Place in Leon has been a pilot site.
